I allowed this person onto my Facebook initially because she’s employed under a local animal rescue project that I’ve supported in the past. How is it that someone who volunteers so much time and energy towards such noble charity can harbor such an appalling lack of compassion for human beings?
Instead of further denigrating and disrespecting some of the most abjectly downtrodden members of our grossly imbalanced society, perhaps you could recall the blessings of your middle-class upbringing and lily-white complexion and squeeze out one single drop of sympathy for someone who might have been you, in a different life.
